The Best Double Buggy StrollersIf you're expecting twins or have two children of different age groups, then a double buggy can help you out and about. The best ones are easy to manoeuvre and deal with rough surfaces and kerbs. They also have features such as large sun canopies with hoods that can be seen through and adjustable seats.1. Baby Jogger City Tour DoubleThe City Tour 2 Double is the smallest double stroller in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed to travel and fits through standard doors easily due to its slim and compact design. It's also one the lightest double buggies on the market that weighs just 14lbs when folded. It's ideal for travel with a toddler and a newborn because you won't be able to exceed the allowances for luggage on airlines. It folds down to the size of a backpack and can be tucked away in the back of your car when it's not in use.The one-handed, Z-shape fold is a breeze and is extremely compact once you master it and takes only a few seconds to unfold. However our tester found the auto lock a bit confusing and as the handlebar isn't locked to its place when you press it, it struck her legs when she was using it. She also felt the handlebar was a little shorter than she would like, especially with a big changing bag hanging from it.As opposed to other light travel buggies, this doesn't skimp on features and is among the most comprehensive double strollers on the market. It is compatible with two carrycots (available separately), features multiple recline positions, and has an UV 50+ canopy. You can also add a bassinet to one or both seats to transform it into a travel set-up.The four wheels made of rubber are ideal for pavements and urban terrain however they're not made for off-roading - they struggled on gravel and long grass, and there isn't much clearance between the wheel and the bracket which means that mud could get stuck easily. Our tester loved this buggy, and it was able to climb pretty hillocks that were muddy.iCandy OrangeThe iCandy Orange is a premium double buggy that is a top choice in design and versatility. The fact that the seats can be reclined independently was a big hit.The hoods were also easy to adjust for wind or sun protection. They did not offer as much coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It might be worth having an extra rain cover in case.Overall, our testers were impressed with the way that Nipper Double let them to take their twins Sydney and Lyla on a variety of adventures, from spotting wildlife in the woods, to running to the park for a quick playdate. The testers were also awed with how spacious and comfortable the two seats are. There is plenty of room to stretch out for toddlers who are growing. The lack of parent facing seating and the inability of using a car seat in this buggy were cited as a disadvantage by our test participants. They would have also preferred a larger storage area to store shopping items and other accessories.
