It's also less expensive than the top counter depth refrigerator with an icemaker, which makes it a desirable option.Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door RefrigeratorIf you're looking for an French door fridge that doesn't cost you a fortune and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It has a simple design that's not as visually striking as other models, but it has enough features to make it a solid pick. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food like vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also has a large water dispenser as well as a good Ice machine that is fast.The "Chill Drawer", which is located over the two crisper bins, is a great feature. This drawer lets you redirect some of the refrigerator's cooling power directly to this area, meaning you can keep food items that require extra attention. You can adjust this feature by using the slider located on the in the middle of the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling level for the entire fridge, however, I've found that changing the general settings tends to produce better results than specific ones.In my tests, the temperature of the refrigerator were fairly constant across the different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the fridge didn't differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a great performance, but it does not quite make it to the top of our rankings.This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with an intelligent thermometer to get more precise measurements of the internal temperature of your fridge.The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish.
