Link and Midna then escape the castle through an escape tunnel that leads to the Twilight Realm.Link can move more freely around the world in the Twilight Realm by using his wolf form. Link can also use his senses to navigate around the world. He can sense ghosts of soldiers and animals in the distance. He can also whistle and pull grass from certain patches to summon an animal such as an Hawk, Epona or other. Link can also whistle near the patches to summon a similar animal.Twilight Princess is no different from other Zelda titles in that music plays a significant role. Link can play an instrument that is musical like the flute or the harp, to attract and call on various animals. Link can also use his voice to command the wolf's form. Additionally, he could use his compass to guide him through the world and stay out of trouble.CharactersThe Legend of Zelda is full of colorful and unique characters that leave an impression that will last forever. These unique and imaginative characters such as hands emerging from toilets to pirates sailing across vast oceans, are the essence of this game. Twilight Princess continues the tradition of previous games by introducing a range of memorable characters.Throughout the story, Link meets new NPCs that are not just interesting, but also believable. starlight princess x1000 's a major step in the right direction to have many of these NPCs actually have a role in the story instead of simply being there as victims. NPCs like Rusl, who explains how the forest has become more dangerous and kidnaps children, or the Ordon villager who snoop around as wolves while the children are kidnapped They all have distinct personalities that seem genuine.Other notable characters are Iza who manages the Boat Rental Caf in Lanayru Province and Iza's rapid ride, Louise Telma’s cat, who helps Wolf Link find a secret passageway into the castle through her bar and sewer system, and Faron who's spirit helps guide Link to the Forest Temple in Eldin Province. The duo defeats the Fused Shadow possessed by Diababa and obtains the first Tear of Light.Midna, the princess of the Twilight Realm, is also one of the most fascinating characters in the game. She is a part of the Triforce of Wisdom and can switch between her human as well as her wolf-like form. She accosts Link and shares with him her experiences in the twilight and how she defeated Zant, the King of Twilight.Zant who is the other part of the Triforce of Wisdom, is a wicked sorcerer, the ruler of the Twilight Realm. He was banished to the Twilight Realm by the goddesses for taking over their land and enslaving the people. Zant's magic keeps him permanently in wolf form, but Midna dispells the power and allows him to transform into his human form as required.The game also features an improved horse called Epona, which is mounted in Hylian and wolf versions. Link can whistle around certain patches of grass to call the animal (similar to Majora's Mask). The player is able to identify the horse, making Twilight Princess the first time in the series where the player can customize their own horse.ThemeMusic is an integral part of any Zelda title. It can make a game appear vast as well as expansive and thrilling. However, Twilight Princess is criticized for its erratic and inconsistent soundtrack that fails to capture the emotional impact of certain scenes. In contrast, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask have enthralling compositions that blossom at exactly the right time to create a sense of grandeur and eeriness.Twilight Princess was composed by Asuka Ohta and Toru Minegishi. This is most evident in Twilight Realm, which has an dark soundscape that is reminiscent of scenes on a David Lynch movie. The lack of melody and the traditional arrangement of this track enhances its ominous, unsettling nature. Drones and strange patterns intertwine to create a dark, eerie texture.A more uplifting and joyous song is Link's hometown, "Faron Woods." The song is an ode to the most famous scene in the franchise as it features an thematic riff that's similar to the famous melody that plays at the Ocarina of Time's beginning.Twilight Princess also has dynamic songs that change depending on the player's location, what they do and what's happening. For example, the Hyrule Castle Town theme has distinct versions for each area of the town and Central Square being the most popular. Central Square having a more energetic and full version of the song. These variations are a great touch that helps to add an atmosphere of depth and immersion into the world of Hyrule.StoryLink's quest in Twilight Princess is to save Hyrule from the corrupted parallel universe known as the Twilight Realm. To achieve this, Link adopts the appearance of a Hylian or the form of a Wolf and is assisted by a woman called Midna.Midna is the first ruler of the Twili however she was overthrown by Zant and cursed to her imp form. Link and Midna are told by the Ancient Sages that only defeating Ganondorf will be able to free them from their curse. The Sages reveal that the Mirror of Twilight causes the darkness to dwell in the Twilight Realm. Midna and Link travel to the Spirit's Spring, where they encounter monsters that are hostile and kidnap children. Wolf Link's keen ear helps them track the children's scent to a nearby bridge and then cross into the Twilight Realm.They enter the Forest Temple, battle Diababa and get the first Fused Shadow. Following this, Faron informs them that the next stop is Eldin Province to the west (Wii) or east (GCN).Midna at the Lakebed Temple of Lanayru teleports Link onto a fiery stone and then uses her powers on the ice beneath Lake Hylia. The spirit of the recently deceased Zora Queen, Rutela, then appears and informs Link that he must go to the Lakebed Temple in order to gain access to a treasure from the Zora.Twilight Princess allows you to ride Epona, the horse from Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. Link can choose the name of the horse, unlike the predetermined names in the previous games.When they arrive in the Twilight Realm, Midna and Link are able to retrieve the remaining Mirror Shards. At the Palace of Twilight, the Sages reveal that Midna is actually the real ruler of the Twili, but she had been overlooked by the monarchy and was turned into an idol to gain power. The Sages also tell them that the only way to defeat Ganondorf is to bring him to the light and break the pact between the Twilight and Hyrule kingdoms.
